Return and Warranty Policy

Last updated: 28-06-2026

This policy explains when RotorX FPV accepts returns and how manufacturing-defect and warranty claims are handled.

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the laws of Sri Lanka.

1. Local Purchases Only

RotorX accepts return and warranty requests only for products purchased directly from RotorX within Sri Lanka.

We cannot process returns or warranties for products purchased from another seller, overseas retailer, third-party marketplace, or individual.

Valid proof of purchase is required for every claim.

2. No Change-of-Mind Returns

Unless required by applicable law, RotorX does not accept returns because:

Customers are responsible for reviewing product specifications and confirming compatibility before placing an order.

3. Pre-Ordered Products

Pre-order payments are non-refundable and pre-ordered products cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged because of a change of mind.

Estimated pre-order arrival dates are not guaranteed and may change because of supplier, manufacturing, freight, airline, customs, regulatory, or other external delays.

This rule does not affect remedies that RotorX must provide where we permanently cannot supply the item or where applicable law requires another outcome.

4. Eligible Returns

A product may be eligible for return where:

The issue must be reported within the applicable notification or warranty period.

5. Reporting a Problem

For visible damage, missing items, or an incorrect product, contact RotorX within 24 hours of delivery.

For a suspected manufacturing defect, contact us as soon as the issue is identified and within the applicable manufacturer or store warranty period.

Provide:

We may request additional troubleshooting information before approving a return.

6. Return Authorization

Do not send or deliver a product to RotorX without receiving return authorization.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Once authorized, the customer must return the item using the instructions provided by RotorX. The product should include all supplied accessories, manuals, packaging, and components where reasonably possible.

7. Inspection and Testing

All returned products are inspected and may be tested before a warranty decision is made.

Inspection may include:

The inspection period may vary depending on the product and whether supplier or manufacturer confirmation is required.

8. Warranty Remedy

RotorX does not ordinarily provide cash refunds.

Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the claim will generally be resolved through one of the following:

  1. Replacement with the same item
  2. Replacement with an equivalent item where the original is unavailable
  3. Repair, where appropriate
  4. Store credit, where agreed
  5. Another remedy required by applicable law

Item-to-item replacement is subject to stock availability.

A replacement item may carry the remaining warranty period of the original product or another period required by the manufacturer or applicable law.

9. Items Not Eligible for Return or Warranty

Unless a manufacturing defect is proven or applicable law requires otherwise, claims will not be accepted for:

10. Installed or Soldered Electronics

FPV electronics should be bench-tested before soldering or installation wherever possible.

Once an electronic item has been soldered, installed, modified, flashed, or powered incorrectly, a return may be refused where the condition of the product prevents confirmation of a manufacturing defect.

Soldering alone will not automatically remove a statutory right, but damage caused by soldering or installation is not covered.

11. Batteries

Battery warranty claims must be reported before the battery is flown, crashed, modified, over-discharged, or repeatedly charged.

For a battery claim, we may request:

Battery capacity loss through normal use is not considered a manufacturing defect.

12. Delivery and Return Costs

Where RotorX confirms that we supplied the wrong item or that the product had a qualifying manufacturing defect, reasonable return or replacement delivery arrangements will be communicated to the customer.

Where testing finds no defect, or the issue was caused by incompatibility, installation, misuse, or customer damage, the customer may be responsible for collection, return-delivery, inspection, or re-delivery costs.

13. Replacement Availability

Where the same product is unavailable, RotorX may offer:

Any price difference for a customer-requested upgrade must be paid by the customer.

14. Manufacturer Warranties

Certain products may be covered directly by the manufacturer or distributor. RotorX may assist with submitting the claim, but processing times and final decisions may depend on the manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranty conditions may apply in addition to this policy.
